Our Memories Matter

Our Memories Matter

With the recent passing of Baseball legends Tim McCarver and Joe Pepitone I reflect how our show honors our past while remaining so current. Baseball is a timeless sport passed down through generations of fathers, mothers, sons, and daughters.  From our early episodes, Charlie and Phil check out box scores in the Daily News at Sal's Deli, as a worn baseball mitt that seems never to leave Charlie's hands.  Life lessons are taught through the cheers and taunts of a coach or the reverence for players that hang on a wall of a local barber shop, such as Joe Pepitone or Mr. October Reggie Jackson. Click on an episode of COVID Ditty and see if you can find some more baseball stories.

Hint: Episode 8 is titled “The Say Hey Kid”
